MUSTARD SEED FAITH

FAITH AS A GRAIN OF MUSTARD SEED

                                                        mustard seed in hand

I woke up early this morning with an overwhelming sense of contentedness.   You know the kind that makes you stop, take a deep breath and say….life is wonderful

I am praying that the Lord just touched some deeply hidden anxieties and released me to perfect peace.

The scripture says we can say to the mountain…be removed and cast into the sea and it must go.   He didn’t say instantaneously or that the ground would shake when the mountain was moving, but He said it would go.   I love that!     His Word says,      I believe,       It is so.

You know sometimes I wonder about myself….I get this visual of a Mt. being ripped out of the earth and having great roots on the bottom of it and giant boulders holding it in place…the ground shakes and the mountain meanders to the sea and makes a horrific tidal wave.

Now I ask you, how could a mountain be held down by roots and boulders? But I feel that the seemingly large things in our lives that comprise the mountains are really smaller than we make them. We live in an area that is surrounded by foothills of a great mountain chain.  We have so many rocks in our ground it is frustrating.   If you want to plant something you must dig in this rocky ground to make a hole and put dirt into it because you have taken very little dirt out but many rocks of every size that seem to be fitted in with great care and deliberation.   hmmmm.    I see the mountain as a larger boulder  lol  If we release the thinking that traps us under the mountain and let the roots be released from deep within.  We will be able to see that mountain be removed and cast into the sea.

I believe the last vestige of unbelief has been removed and cast into the sea this morning.  Mountains of unbelief, frustration, fear, lack of true joy, and real excitement.  An entire mountain range. They are all in the sea of God’s forgetfulness.  Join me and speak to your mountains.  We are not different than the early disciples of the Lord who asked why they could not cast out demons.  They were frustrated, dumfounded and probably felt very weak and maybe a bit embarrassed. The father of the young boy who was described as a lunatic was unhappy that they were not able to free his son so he brought him to Jesus.  The Lord’s response was interesting because he called them a “wicked and perverse generation”.

HE SAID IF I HAD THE FAITH AS A GRAIN OF MUSTARD SEED, I COULD Say “MT. BE REMOVED AND BE CAST INTO THE SEA”.

KJV   And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

He followed this up a few scriptures later saying, this cometh only by fasting and prayer.

My own interpretation is this comes only by emptying yourself of You and filling yourself with Me the great King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

I heard a great sermon one time about a mustard seed.  The mustard seed was planted along the river banks because the roots could find their way through the stony ground and be secure and fruitful….If I have that kind of faith…the kind of faith that can grow and flourish and not be shaken by every work of adversity and confusion…oh the great things I could do for the King.  The mustard seed was not concerned about the rocky ground or the slanted ground or the uneasy feeling in ground that is not secure.   Praise the Lord for the faith of a grain of mustard seed.

I BELIEVE….LORD HELP THOU MY UNBELIEF.

I feel liberated today by reminding myself of something I already knew…but somehow was not completely walking in lately.

Oh, wonderful Lord, thank You for reminding us today that You are always with us.   I ask that you allow the faith you have planted within each of us to be rooted and go deep regardless of any of the rocks of hinderance the enemy and life may put in our soil.  The mustard seed is strong and has endurance and that is the faith You have supplied us with.  Thank You wonderful Lord….Bless all of us today with encouragement, faith, and joy as we go about our day.   Heal all areas of our mind, body, and spirit and bring us into complete alignment with “thus saith the Lord” about every circumstance of today.   AMEN

MOUNTAIN BE REMOVED

YOU   ARE   SMALLER   THAN   MY  FAITH

I    AM  MORE  THAN A CONQUEROR
